Seriously, what would you do for a Stradivarius? Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Frank Almond had that question answered after he was shot with an electronic gun and his Stradivarius violin stolen from him by an armed robber on Tuesday.
“Almond was attacked with a taser and robbed in a car park, following a concert at Wisconsin Lutheran College. The robber fled to a nearby vehicle, described as a maroon or burgundy minivan driven by an accomplice, which then left the scene.” (via ClasssicFM.com)
The instrument was on loan to Almond and the Milwaukee Symphony by an anonymous benefactor.
