Silentium Amoris ~ Oscar Wilde

Refinersfires is delighted to announce two new projects featuring Baritone EDWIN CROSSLEY-MERCER and pianist JASON PAUL PETERSON. Last May, when Crossley-Mercer and Peterson performed one of the movements of Michael Linton’s song cycle “Wilde Songs” in Cleveland the critic for Cleveland Classical called the music “gorgeously lyric” and “a magical moment.”  This summer the musicians will record the full eighty-minute cycle on the poems of Oscar Wilde as well as a second volume of songs to poems by Cody Franchetti, CD’s to be released late in 2017. Because these projects are sponsored in part by Middle Tennessee State University, contributions supporting this project are fully tax-deductible and can be made to “The Joyce” fund at MTSU, attention of Meredith Kerr.

You can hear the song that so moved the Cleveland audience here.
