Jack Conte and Nataly Dawn of POMPLAMOOSE at MTSU
Refinersfire, LLC, and the MTSU School of Music will host Jack Conte and Nataly Dawn, the two musicians of POMPLAMOOSE, for a Q & A session in the Wright Music building on Thursday, 2 October. The session will be in Rm 117 and begin at 1:00 PM. The event is free and open to the public.
POMPLAMOOSE is one of the America’s most innovative and successful music ensembles. Begun in 2008 the ensemble made highly original music videos in their Bay Area apartment and posted them on YouTube. In a year POMPLAMOOSE had sold over 100,000 songs on line. Two years later the ensemble bagged auto-maker Hyundai’s Christmas 2010 television ad campaign. To date their YouTube channel has had over 100 million views. Their YouTube success has launched both tours for POMPLAMOOSE and solo careers for Dawn and Conte. They will talk about their career and answers students’ questions before their performance later that night at Nashville’s Mercy Lounge.
