Beethoven’s 243rd Birthday!

Beethoven Today marks Ludwig van Beethoven’s 243rd birthday. Beethoven was a great composer and a man with a persistent and brave spirit. I don’t want to spend too much time talking about the man or the composer because, he means so many different things to so many different people. Everyone who I have spoken to about his birthday says different things when I mention him. “Oh! I just love that Peanuts cartoon about Beethoven!” or  “Did you ever notice they used Beethoven in ‘Austin Powers’? or even “What symphony is it that goes, ‘ba ba ba baaaaaa?”. Whether we know it or not, we have all been inundated with Beethoven’s music from birth. And, it is gorgeous music.

Here is a series of interesting links and videos about the incredible man.
